Coach Kwame Applauds Team’s Effort, Discipline, and Determination
Soddy-Daisy, TN — Kaistorms FC put on a spirited performance at Soddy Daisy Stadium on Sunday evening but came up just short in a 2-1 loss to Southern Indiana FC in front of a passionate home crowd.
From the opening whistle, Kaistorms executed their game plan with precision — pressing high, maintaining structure, and disrupting SIFC’s ability to build out of the back. Their commitment and discipline were evident throughout the match, and the team created several promising chances.
“We had a plan and the boys stuck to it,” said Head Coach Eric Kwame Appiah after the match. “We made it really difficult for SIFC to find space and build up, and I think we gave our fans something to be proud of tonight.”
Kaistorms’ midfield was particularly impressive, combining sharp ball movement with relentless pressure. The team pulled one goal back in the second half through a well-executed attack that lifted the energy at Soddy Daisy Stadium and kept hope alive in the final stretch.
“We were solid in midfield with some exceptional ball movement,” Coach Kwame added. “And one thing I was most proud of was our discipline — both on and off the ball.”
Despite the narrow loss, the team left the pitch with heads held high, earning admiration from fans who appreciated their intensity and unity. “We were a bit unlucky with the scoreline,” Kwame noted, “but we’re going to work on the lapses that cost us the game and come back even better next week.”
Kaistorms FC will look to bounce back in their next UPSL fixture as they continue to build momentum and identity in front of their growing home crowd.
