Chattanooga Kaistorms Fall to Midwest Hooligans but Show Promise in UPSL Debuts

Evansville, IN — Chattanooga Kaistorms FC suffered a tough 4-0 defeat on the road against Midwest Hooligans in their latest UPSL fixture. Despite the scoreline, the team displayed tremendous work ethic, determination, and resilience — hallmarks of a young squad finding its identity in a competitive KY/TN conference.

Several young players made their UPSL debuts, including third-string goalkeeper Simon Doran, Miller Denton, and Christian Landers. Their inclusion highlights the club’s long-term commitment to developing emerging talent and giving them a platform to grow.

“This was a tough result, no doubt,” said Head Coach Kwame Appiah. “But I’m incredibly proud of the way the boys fought from start to finish. We made a few mistakes that led to goals, but that’s part of the learning curve for a young team. We’ll grow together from this.”

While the Kaistorms created several scoring opportunities, they were unable to convert — a trend seen in their past two matches. Improving finishing in front of goal will be a key focus in training ahead of their upcoming midweek clash.

The Kaistorms will look to bounce back this Wednesday, May 21, 2025, as they travel to Murfreesboro, TN to take on Pre-College DA at 6:00 PM CST. With playoff aspirations still alive, the team remains focused and determined to improve each week.

The club extends its sincere gratitude to the fans who made the five-hour journey to Evansville to support the team. Your continued support is vital as the Kaistorms strive to make an impact in their inaugural UPSL season.
